NES Controller Grip / Handle / Holder - Nintendo Entertainment System Gamepad
thingiverse
The Nintendo Entertainment System is one of the best gaming consoles of all time, but prolonged use of the original controller can lead to sore thumbs, forearms, and wrists. My friend Stan Richardson suggested that I create a grip that modernizes the NES controller, making it more ergonomic and easier on the hands. Simply insert your NES controller and start playing. To ensure maximum comfort, I designed the grip so you can place your index fingers on top or behind, whichever feels most natural for you. You may notice that the right grip is slightly longer and positioned at a sharper angle than the left. This intentional design mirrors the gamepads of Super Nintendo consoles, which feature diagonal A and B buttons, allowing users to hold both down simultaneously. To counteract warping, I indented the top left and right corners of the grip. As for the angled design, it positions your thumb in a way that makes it easier to hit both buttons at once - a game-changer for running and jumping in Super Mario Brothers.
