Yep, we're going to build a high-powered nerf gun. In action and assembly: https://youtu.be/y7d4247r3rE. Why do we need another nerf gun? I was eager to learn about intricate mechanics on a more complex project with fusion. I wanted to dive deeper into Arduino technology, and understand the electronics behind it all. This project covers both mechanical and electronic aspects of building a powerful nerf gun. We're working on two additional projects: one for a pistol-style nerf gun, and another that mounts this design on an RC-controlled truck like the famous Katjuscha. Due to these different paths, this project won't include a housing to make it more visually appealing. The other two projects will cover housings and extra parts. Katjuscha project: coming soon. Nerf gun pistol: under development. Electronics and electronics needed: * 2 quadcopter brushless motors (2300KV or similar) * 2 matching ESCs * 1 LIPO battery * 1 UBEC * 1 Arduino board * 1 standard servo motor * 1 potentiometer * Various resistors for the circuit layout * 1 LED light * Cables and other necessary materials Mechanical parts needed: * All printed components that require a single print, except for the flywheels (you'll need two) * M3x12, M3x16, M3x25 screws, and M3 nuts * A spring from a ballpoint pen Arduino stuff: https://github.com/pstimpel/FoamDardThrower. Attention: Nerf guns can cause serious injuries. Treat them with caution. Attention: This project is still in progress. Check back for updates on new parts.
