Nerf - x8 AA Battery Case
thingiverse
A custom battery case for my trusty Nerf Rayven, an electric flywheel blaster that's been serving me well so far. As much as I love this old gun, it's not exactly packing a punch - plenty of people have upgraded it and documented their fixes, but it's no easy task swapping wires and motors. Instead of diving head-first into those modifications, I decided to try something simpler: adding a voltage boost. And let me tell you, it doesn't get much easier than this. A lithium-ion pack would be the ultimate upgrade, but I thought I'd start with something even more straightforward - doubling the voltage by using two sets of batteries instead of one. Eight AA cells would give my Rayven about 12 volts to play with, up from its standard 6 volts. The easiest place to stash all these extra batteries was on the side accessory rail that's been collecting dust anyway.
