Nerf Stryfe upper lock blocking clamp
thingiverse
The Nerf Stryfe has several internal safety mechanisms that prevent it from firing unnecessarily, such as without a magazine in place. One of those safeguards is located in the upper receiver and prevents firing when the magazine is empty. However, if a dart is present in the magazine, it will push up the lock lever, allowing the gun to fire. Occasionally, older or aftermarket darts may not be able to push the lock lever into position. Instead of removing the safety mechanism entirely, I opted to install a small clamp that secures the lock in place. To make this modification, start by disassembling the Stryfe by removing its screws and opening it up. Next, push the lock lever into its upper position. Now, insert the clamp into the gap where the lock lever would normally move down. This will prevent the lock from returning to its original position and allowing the gun to fire prematurely. Once you've completed these steps, reassemble the Stryfe according to its original design specifications. Printer Settings: Printer: TEVO Tarantula Prusa i3 Rafts: No Resolution: 0.1 Infill: None
