Nerf Star Lord Top Barrel Extension / Replacement

Nerf Star Lord Top Barrel Extension / Replacement

This custom top barrel is designed to swap out the original orange barrel tip of a Nerf Star Lord Quad Blaster. These new tips block the gun's firing mechanism for Nerf darts but still let it open and close because I wanted to preserve that clever feature from the base blaster. You can use the same screws removed from the old tips to install these replacements. Some tweaks to the base blaster are needed to fit the top barrel properly in place. Specifically, you have to trim away part of the inside of the barrel cover (the moving part) with a Dremel, and that really helps things go smoother. The barrel features two 5mm holes for accommodating LEDs, which you can handle however you want but I think best results come from filling the barrels with clear resin to evenly diffuse light all down the barrel. Alternatively, try lightly sanding some clear acrylic with coarse sandpaper and shaping it to fit inside the barrel snugly. Originally, these designs were created to be printed on a Makergear M2 printer that operates at 100 micron (.1mm) resolution. They directly snap onto nerf guns straight from the print bed without needing any additional assembly. Depending on your printing settings, you might need some light sanding to achieve a snug fit.
