Nerf Rival Phantom Corps AmmoCounter Housing

I really love the Rival line of guns from Nerf. The Phantom Corps sub-series is simply amazing and the [Nerf Rival Phantom Corp Hera](https://amzn.to/2FtaNzP) looks incredible right out of the box. But there's always room for improvement. I'm a bit late to the Nerf party, but I recently discovered [AmmoCounters](http://www.ammocounter.com) for Nerf guns. This is seriously cool stuff. The guy who makes the ammo counters also creates housings for them, but I didn't feel like that matched the Hera to my taste, so I designed this one. I wasn't able to get the IR sensor working, which was a minor setback. But then I stumbled upon an old momentary switch in my junk pile and managed to find a great spot to install it (check out the picture). The other end of the trigger stays closed when released (i.e., when not pulled), so I soldered two wires with a connector from an old computer case to the switch. To secure everything, I roughened up both the switch and the spot on the gun with some sandpaper and hot glued them into place. As I was working, I realized that the squeeze-out was interfering with the action of the switch, so I let it cool down and cleaned out the squeeze-out with a knife. I struggled to figure out where to put the switch to turn the ammo counter on and off. It wasn't until I had a brilliant idea that I decided to use it as the front sight for an iron sight. The buttons are exactly the same size as the hole in the faceplate, so you'll need to sand or file them down to size or print them slightly scaled down in x and y (but keep z the same). # Other Mods [Muzzle](/thing:3326823) [Sling Attachment Point](/thing:3356438) (btw, That's an affiliate link up there.
