Nerf Rival Kronos Speed Loader
thingiverse
I redesigned the Speedloaders, upgrading them from their original form uploaded here. The original ones lacked a crucial element in the open end of the housing that prevented the balls from potentially falling out. To rectify this issue, I remixed the housing to incorporate small brackets on the open end. These brackets are sized to prevent damage to the balls or hinder their movement while being large enough to ensure they don't simply fall out. In addition, I modified the Slider so it can glide past these newly added brackets by subtly cutting into its stem. Moreover, I increased the diameter of various openings across the slider to enhance print tolerances and guarantee a smoother fit within the housing. The end cap remains unchanged as I couldn't envision any improvements. To better integrate these Speedloaders with my custom Jam Door replacement, I shortened the housing slightly. Furthermore, to simplify printing the housing while standing upright, I converted the lower section from hexagonal to completely circular in shape. Despite each modification being modest, this process of refinement required considerable tinkering to achieve perfection. Hopefully, others will appreciate these upgraded Speedloaders just as much as I do.
