Nerf Rival Hera Muzzle

I'm absolutely obsessed with the Rival line of guns from Nerf! The Phantom Corps sub-series is truly exceptional and the Nerf Rival Phantom Corp Hera is a stunning masterpiece right out of the box. However, there's always room for innovation. My initial plan was to swap out all the orange components with black or white 3D printed parts. But after taking a closer look at how intricate some of these parts were, I realized that replacing just the muzzle and front-sight would mean that every orange part is now a human-interface point - every switch or button that does something. What an awesome idea! I'm absolutely thrilled with how this turned out. The Hera with these mods looks like a P90 firing shotgun shells, a breaching P90. The modified muzzle in the photo houses the sensor and emitter for an AmmoCounter, but unfortunately, I couldn't get the IR sensor to work. Since I don't have the patience to keep projects hanging in limbo forever, I opted for a momentary switch on the trigger to activate the ammo counter. The Hera is semi-automatic anyway, so one trigger pull should result in one shot fired. I thought the stock part's approach to the lower front gun was uninspired - just flat surfaces with holes. So, I transformed this area into a spot for a laser sight or flashlight. Since I already have a switch wired to the trigger, I'm considering adding a strobe light to create muzzle flash and boost intimidation. # Steps Just print the parts, finish as desired, and replace the originals! # Other Mods Sling Attachment Point AmmoCounter Housing
