If you upgrade your Nerf Rapidstrike CS-18's pusher with a 180 motor, such as the MTB Hellcat, print this plate to cover it up! This motor cover prevents shorting and makes your blaster look even better. My version adds some unique features: Extended plate also covers nearby cutouts for wire routing Open design allows airflow into the motor Provides a smooth panel for a nameplate, kill tally, owner name, etc I included some text in the SCAD file, commented out from the uploaded STL. If you'd like to print a name directly onto the plate, just uncomment the line from the SCAD document, select a font, and re-render. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 100% Notes: I highly recommend printing in ABS, since you can cement the cover plate directly to the blaster. For a beautiful finish, print directly on the plate with a nice, wide brim. Before installation, fully remove the brim and sand down any rough edges. Post-Printing Modify your blaster to accommodate the extended pusher motor. Thoroughly sand the Rapidstrike CS-18 logo off the blaster, as well as the paint on its panel. Optional: Sand the paint off of the area around your pusher motor cutout. Mount your pusher in the blaster. This prevents adhesive from blocking the cutouts and helps you detect mistakes. Test-fit the plate. Make sure the plate sits flat against the logo panel, the mounting pegs are touching the blaster, and that the motor is not touching the plate. If necessary, trim or sand the blaster or plate. Thoroughly clean the cover plate and blaster. Brush with alcohol to remove dust and grease. Prepare your adhesive. If you printed the plate in ABS, use ABS cement or plastic repair epoxy. If you printed in PLA or another material, use E6000. Apply adhesive to the logo panel and both mounting pegs. Press the panel into place, clamp securely, and allow adhesive to fully cure. Optional: Apply a vinyl decal or use model paints to decorate the plate. The blaster, ready for installation
