This bracket replaces your Nerf Rapidstrike CS-18's upper sling mount with dual 128x64 OLED displays. Just print, add displays, open your Rapidstrike, remove the sling mount, and slot the bracket into place. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Infill: 20% Notes: Use thick walls - I printed this with 2mm walls and 2mm top/bottom layers. I printed this in ABS, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height. Your mileage may vary. I recommend avoiding PLA for this print, because it's difficult to adhere the displays and it can become brittle in the cold. If you're using ABS, I recommend a raft. Because of the weird angles in the model, almost everything touching the bed will be support material. Post-Printing These brackets are designed for common, inexpensive I2C-only SSD1306 breakouts. More complex breakouts, such as Adafruit's model and boards with a reset line, won't fit. Disassemble your Rapidstrike and remove the upper sling mount. Aggressively clean up your printed bracket. Remove all traces of support material, trim down any rough edges, and file off any over-extrusion. Test-fit your bracket in your blaster. If your SSD1306 displays came with headers installed, desolder them. Solder long wires to your displays and trim down the joints. Move one display's address-selector jumper, so the displays have different I2C addresses. Apply your adhesive of choice to the back of the upper display. I used 3M VHB tape. Feed the upper display's wires through their hole on the bracket. Note that the displays are mounted upside-down. Press the upper display into position. Repeat steps 6, 7, and 8 with the lower display. If necessary, wait for your adhesive to cure. Gently slide the bracket into the blaster. It should fit identically to the stock sling mount point. Route, trim, and prepare your wires. Because these displays use I2C, you can wire the displays in parallel. Optional: Apply some Sugru or other rubberized material to the corners of the displays to protect against cracking. How I Designed This I got the critical dimensions by cutting the Rapidstrike's upper sling mount into pieces, measuring them, and replicating them in SCAD.
