Nerf Pole Target
thingiverse
Building on my first Nerf targets, I created a vertical target that faces you after you shoot it, just like my horizontal targets do. To achieve this, I designed the pole targets with cams to return to their original position once shot. I call these unique targets "Funny Faced Animals," and you can easily customize them by printing up Dinosaurs, Pumpkins, Villains, or any other fun design. Since Nerf Balls require a sturdy target, I made the slot holding the CDs large enough for three sheets of label paper per side. Trust me, we tested it out and confirmed that three sheets are essential for withstanding Nerf Balls. If you're using only Nerf Darts, one sheet per side will suffice. The stand was customized from LKM's Strong Customizable Pole Stand (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1902885), which is incredibly strong and well-designed. I added a 6-sided dice to make the target a game, where players roll the dice and have to shoot whatever number appears. Count your shots, and the next player takes a turn. The low score wins, but if the loser's score exceeds five, they step forward one step for the next round. Conversely, if their score is below five, everyone steps back one step. You don't need the dice, but it adds an exciting element to the game. I used discarded CD label centers to create the dice pictures and will likely add a 5-sided dice to my original Nerf Targets soon. To build what you see in the picture, you'll need: 1. One Walmart arrow shaft (I made all holes .31" in diameter, available at stores like Walmart for the best price) 2. Six used CDs or DVDs 3. CD labels sufficient for three sheets per side with a top sheet printed with your chosen target design 4. Hot melt glue to secure the CDs in the Nerf Cam T and hold the Nerf Cam B on the shaft (ensure proper alignment) 5. Three Nerf cam B (bottom) 6. Three Nerf cam T (top) 7. One Pole stand all (I included separate STLs for the base and feet, just in case you break one) 8. One Dice (optional) 9. Target pictures for the CDs (and dice)
