NERF MHP (Meaker-Heathpants-Peaker) Fauxolo Sight

I was looking for a simple adjustable scope and designed this basic model. Then Mrheathpants created a more attractive but non-adjustable version for his project, which I asked him to share so I could add my sight pieces and create the Meaker-heathpants-peaker Fauxolo sight. This is how it came about. The Fauxolo sight uses #6/m3.5 or #4/m2.6 coarse thread screws/bolts (like sheet metal pan screws, plastite screws, or wood screws) and glue. It doesn't require supports, but the parts may need to be printed flat. Print the fauxolo sight body with your chosen adapter and screw bar along with the bar's two matching wheels. This should take about a 30g/2hr print, depending on your settings and machine capabilities. Here's how to assemble it: * Press-fit the elevation bar into the front of the frame and sand/file/shave as needed. * If you want, bore out the four holes in the corners of the frame and rail adapter so that a piece of filament will fit. You might be able to press-fit a piece of filament without boring the holes. * Glue the rail adapter to the frame. The rail adapter may require additional fitting to your rail, especially the nstrike version. Keep in mind that significant force is required to install it, which means it will also be harder to uninstall. * Screw the wheels onto each side of the elevation piece to the desired tightness. Everything is loosely held together by friction and (depending on how you assemble it) screw tension. It's possible that it may lose its positioning, but for my testing, it was adequate and withstood abuse. Adding tension to the parts by roughing up surfaces or adding shims should be possible. The files are only for personal use, except for those who don't have a printer and want to commission a print from someone else.
