Nerf Longshot Adjustable Stock

If you're reading this, it's likely because you're a fan of Nerf. I'm one too, and specifically I'm a huge fan of Longshots - that's why I created this custom stock. In my quest to find the perfect fit, I realized what I wanted wasn't available yet, so I decided to design it myself. The inspiration for this project came from three different sources: Firstly, I love how some skilled enthusiasts combine thumbhole stocks from other blasters with their Longshot shells or add parts of another blaster between the standard stock and grip to create a thumbhole stock. It's an awesome look that just works. The downside is having to modify blasters. Secondly, I'm a fan of adjustable stocks with extension rods and a lock to determine the exact length you want to use. These offer great functionality and ergonomics. However, the Longshot doesn't have a standard stock attachment point, so this type of stock isn't compatible. Lastly, I appreciate the availability of aftermarket 3D printed solutions that require no shell cutting or modding to install on the Longshot. My goal was to create a stock that combined these values in one product: an adjustable thumbhole stock that's easy to install and available to everyone. I also noticed that the grip of the Longshot can be short for adult hands, so I designed a grip extension integral to the design. The LS grip has a screw port at the bottom, which coincidentally lends itself perfectly to creating a shape around it without having to glue or screw into the shell. The thumbhole portion of the stock adds stability to the otherwise somewhat wobbly grip of the Longshot, making priming easier when using higher spring loads. To add control and stability during priming, I designed machined aluminum extension bars that are perfectly aligned with the action. This also doubles as a vertical stand for the Longshot when the shoulder rest is removed. This stock matches the blaster's look and feel while being lightweight and featuring a 'no rattle' precision fit to the LS shell. The best part? It doesn't require any modifications to your Longshot. Important note: initially, this stock was going to be sold by OOD and Foam Focus, but they couldn't make it commercially viable without increasing the price too much due to print time issues. Since my intention is to make this available to as many players as possible (not necessarily for profit), I've decided to share the design with everyone via this method. If you're interested in printing this stock yourself or having someone do it for you, be aware that for proper function and completion, you'll need strong rods with specific detailing like notches and threaded holes. I've included pictures and technical drawings of these extension rods so you can see what's needed.
