Nerf Hail-Fire Battery Cover + Stock Connector
thingiverse
Initially started this project to create a replacement battery door/cover and battery tray, making it easier to install a LiPo battery in the Hail Fire. Folks asked if it might be possible to incorporate a stock connection, so I modified it to do just that. There are multiple versions available here: Firstly, a Simple Battery Door/Cover (e.g., if you lost yours or don't want to cut up your stock tray and want to put another type of battery inside - I have fit both 2s and 3s LiPos in there). Secondly, a Two-piece Battery Door + Battery Tray (this design allows you to use the existing spring contacts to connect a LiPo battery to the Hail Fire. Many people dislike using spring contacts with LiPo but I haven't had any issues during initial testing with a 2s and stock motors). This version is separated into two pieces for easier printing. Thirdly, a Battery Door w/ Stock Mount (by popular demand, allowing you to connect normal Nerf stocks to your Hail Fire - using the rear portion of top rail for stability). Lastly, a Separate Battery Tray (designed to work with #3 if you want a tray - two parts can be glued together or this tray will be pushed against spring contacts by the Battery Door).
