Nerf Gun Sniper Scope With C.O.D Style Reticle

This is another Nerf scope I designed specifically for my son M.J., who wanted one that could be assembled with a lens cap and a clear reticle featuring a smiley face. So here it is, and I hope you like it! I printed the scope vertically, which means only a couple of supports are required. Always use a raft because I don't have a heated bed. Pull off the rafts and supports from your scope and clean up all the excess material. Next, use the shorter section of the scope and trace the side that you don't look through on a clear piece of plastic. Any clear rigid plastic will do. Draw a cool skull, smiley face, or ice cream cone in the center of your clear plastic piece and cut it to size. Insert the reticle into the larger scope section, slide the smaller side into the larger side, and glue them together. Glue and clamp the Nerf rail guide onto the barrel of the scope. I used super glue; it's held up nicely and dries quickly. Glue the knobs into the holes of the barrel. Cut a nail down to size, heat it up, and slide it through the hinge supports for the lens cap hinge. Have fun accurately unleashing mayhem on your foes!
