Nerf Elite 2.0 Stormcharge Flywheel Cage
thingiverse
Replacement flywheel cages for modifying the Nerf Elite 2.0 Stormcharge blaster. The cages will not drop straight in, due to the blaster shell having been molded to conform to the stock cage and motors. To that end, you need to clip several bits of plastic. In particular, the plastic ridges that sit behind the motors and the tubes on the opposite side that would normally line up with the motor shafts. The cage outline within the blaster should be large enough to house most flywheel types. If you go bigger (Daybreak, Banshee, etc), you'll need to trim those areas to make room. On the topic of large wheel formats: due to space constraints, the upper right mounting post will need to be carefully shaved down if you want the top wheel to fit. This may or may not result in being unable to use one mounting screw. Finally: for ease of printing, the bottom right mount has been made flush with the rest of the base. Though that leaves a small gap between the cage and a circular ridge on the shell, the cage is otherwise secure and not louder as a result. Even so, if you want to fill that gap, there's a file for a small spacer that you can slide on and/or glue in place.
