This is design #5 for a NERF barrel extension, a revamped version based on Volpin Props' modded "Dracogen STV space gun" kit. The redesigned extension includes an updated bayonet mount ring that allows for secure attachment to select NERF blasters, potentially increasing the accuracy of your shots. As an accomplished creator, I have designed numerous versions with distinctive greebles. It is crucial to remember: avoid applying excessive force to connect or disconnect the NERF barrel extension to prevent potential damage to your NERF blaster. Always refer to the printed instructions for precise guidelines on assembling and attaching this device. To overcome this limitation, I have developed a shorter version that is more printer-friendly and less prone to instability issues. Before starting the print, carefully evaluate the printer's vertical range and make sure it's sufficient to accommodate the entire model. Should any wobbling or oscillations occur at the top section, re-examine the structural integrity and consider separating this into two separate printable pieces (top and bottom) for added stability. Within the NERF barrel extension design, there exists a vital tube component that slots neatly into your favorite NERF blaster's barrel. In support of its precise positioning, I have introduced a unique bayonet mount, to which lies embedded a membrane structure for increased durability during printing. However, to complete the build correctly without generating unnecessary warping in print layers you need the following specific files available in our public repository on GitHub and you can obtain access at your own will. Here are instructions for assembling these complex models that come with multiple interdependent components. For all of those users interested this barrel model might appear to be unstable at higher positions so make sure the prints is placed properly when assembled with rest other accessories like attachments - or bayonet attachment and not move during this operation and always print from home for a safe assembly in order for that stability of printing from your machine you would probably get these nice clean print as you are doing to build more complex model by taking necessary caution as explained. Always use the right equipment when printing models from our library like ABS which should be supported with support structures otherwise this structure becomes unstable so you need those additional layers, they make prints very unstable otherwise You might need supports at time to keep that barrel in perfect place without being too weak when adding some new prints on existing layer. This was done on 1/16 in. printer and works like charm. The nerf barrel will have one support which keeps it attached securely with our ABS which works pretty nice so if we are looking for better performance maybe switch over to PLA to have lower melting point.
