Nerf Caliburn U Streamlined Simplified Talon Claw Remix
thingiverse
This is a remix of Captain Slug's Caliburn U. I wanted a simplified, lightweight version with a longer stock and a Talon Claw style short dart magwell, alongside some general part improvements. I felt that the original had many more rail segments than I needed and so most were removed, keeping just the rails above the magwell for mounting a sight. This blaster also uses a shorter Talon Claw ramrod, NOT a Caliburn length ramrod. It only accepts Talon magazines and only shoots short darts. With this configuration the pump has clearance for a barrel with a connector (to accommodate the ramrod when using a tighter diameter barrel), as shown in the photos. I added some built-in sling points for easy carry in the field. Where necessary I slightly changed the files for a more uniform look and tightened up some tolerances with the u-channel and improved general part fit. I used an aluminum plunger in my build, but a standard Caliburn printed plunger could be used. This remix still uses a standard Caliburn U hardware kit, but for the best possible fit on the magazine release and trigger you must use 2.5mm diameter pins, which I have salvaged from other old Nerf blasters. An optional printable stock tube is included if you need it, usually a stock tube is already included in a hardware kit. The picatinny rail segments need support to print properly, otherwise no supports are needed.
