The magwell design allows for a magazine to be topped off with darts when the breech is open, achieved by moving the inserted position of the magazine down by 1/8 of an inch. This may not work with all aftermarket mags or adapters, as it was only designed for straight-18 mags to avoid carrying spare mags.
