Nerf Barricade pusher support post replacement
thingiverse
This replaces the central post of a Barricade/Stockade's trigger mechanism - the post on which the pusher slides and the lever rotates. The rod experiences significant force during normal use, especially when the trigger is pulled while the jam door lock is engaged, and occasionally breaks under stress. Printing in a horizontal orientation should provide optimal strength. The surface of the cap that contacts the Barricade's lever prints directly on the bed - this design choice ensures that this surface is near-perfectly smooth. Internal support will likely be necessary for the cap during printing to prevent damage or deformation. To install, follow these steps: * Cut off the middle terminal on the front of the battery tray to make room for the cap. * Sanding may be required to allow the post to fit into the cap, depending on printer tolerances. * Remove the central post and use a Dremmel to remove material to a sufficient depth that allows the replacement post to be inserted. * Place the central post replacement piece in position. The wings should grip the pusher track and hold it securely in place - glue is not required for secure attachment. * Place the cap on top of the post. Optionally, apply a small amount of glue on top of the cap for added security. * Close the blaster. If using glue, push the clamshells together firmly at the position of the post, turn off the blaster to activate the trigger lock, and pull the trigger to ensure proper alignment.
