Neptune Apex probe holder
thingiverse
I created a custom remix from Adril's original design. To enhance the functionality of my Neptune Apex temperature probe holder, I intentionally enlarged the left hole to accommodate a larger diameter for easier temperature probe access. To secure the probe in place, I opted for a 5/16 bolt and nut combination. This setup allows for reliable and stable positioning of the probe, ensuring accurate readings. For those interested in experimenting with different materials, PLA or PETG can be used as alternatives to the original design. However, I chose to use orange filaments for my Apex Neptune project due to their vibrant color and durability. The Neptune Apex is a cutting-edge Reef aquarium controller designed to monitor temperature, pH, ORP, and salinity levels with precision. To achieve a seamless integration of the probe holder into the Neptune Apex system, I added a detachable bridge between the hole and the main structure. This design feature allows for easy removal and reinstallation as needed. For 3D printing, I employed Slic3r Prusa Edition software to optimize my model's settings. The selected parameters include: * Fill density: 20% * Layer height: 0.15 mm * Bridge thickness: 0.25 mm (detachable) * Printing temperature: PETG at 238°C * Bed temperature: 87°C
