We have an acrylic aquarium with wide eurobracing, which means the mount that came with the AFS won't work for us. Our stand is a custom 8020 aluminum with integrated light fixture uprights, and I wanted to use this to my advantage by mounting the AFS. I used the base plate from Mark Stubbs' thing and designed a custom mounting bracket for 8020 channel, slightly offset so the Aquabus plug isn't blocked by the upright. I chose black PLA because that's what I had handy. You might prefer PETG or ABS, but the PLA seems strong enough for the slight weight of the AFS. First, use the plugs to join the base plate and mount together. Then, use a little superglue to make sure they stay in place. Next, pop the clip into the 8020 channel and you're good to go.
