Neptune 4 Pro Side Waste Bin
thingiverse
The Neptune 4 Waste bin is a rectangular waste container that snaps onto the left side of the Elegoo Neptune 4 or Neptune 4 Pro. It may fit other printers with 40 mm square extrusion frames. It's surprisingly useful to have a little bin nearby to dispose of a nozzle prime stripe, a bit of nozzle ooze or small bits and blobs of material when cleaning the nozzle or build plate. Larger debris such as prime towers, draft shields, skirts and failed prints will still need to be transported to a trash can, but the little waste bin is a great place to quickly dispose of the common small debris. It has a capacity adequate for small debris from hundreds of prints. After that, it's very easy to pull the waste bin to the left to remove it, dump it in the trash, then clip it back onto the printer. The design incorporates an integral spring loaded lower clamping arm. The clamp may seem a bit stiff at first but after a few hours the plastic relaxes and the spring tension is just right... after three prototypes. :-)I included the STL file if you'd like to slice your own, the FreeCAD file for anyone who would like to modify the design (perhaps to fit a different printer), and the G code that's pre-sliced to print on a Neptune 4 or Neptune 4 Pro. I used fuzzy skin so the waste bin looks very nice.
