Neptune 4/4Pro Screw Mounted Bed Alignment with Cable Chain Support
prusaprinters
I, as well as other N4/4Pro users, had trouble getting a satisfactory fitment with the original design by @bazzzzzzz_230758. I referenced the original's geometry while building my own model in Fusion based off of the measurements of my machine. I feel this remix fits more comfortably and gives me a more consistent experience. In part, this is from the nubs that interface with the strain relief.Additionally, I created alternative models that allow the use of M3 nuts or 5mm OD x 4mm long M3 heat set inserts to avoid relying on plastic threads. I don't advise using the version for M3 nuts since there's not much preventing you from pulling the nut out of its recess, but feel free to give it a shot if you don't have a soldering iron. If you do use nuts, please press them in with a clamp or press of some sort to get them in tight and at the proper depth.Print in a material that won't be affected by your bed temperatures. For most users that's going to be PETG or ABS/ASA. I recommend at least 25% infill with 4 walls and 5 solid layers for the top/bottom.I only own a Neptune 4 (base model, not Pro) so don't expect this to work on your Plus or Max. I also don't want to design alternate models for these machines since I can't test them personally. I have uploaded the .step files if you wish to modify them further for your own use, including a mock-up of the strain relief piece itself.
