Neptune 2S Filament Roller Guide
prusaprinters
A small, simple roller filament guide to help direct your filament straight into the filament runout detector. No need to for any extra screws or fasteners as all the pieces are pressure fit, or use the existing hardware on the printer. The mount is designed to fit under the filament runout detector with the metal spacers inserted into the holes. If the metal spacers don't fit I found a 5/16" drill bit to work just right to widen the holes. The 608 bearing should be a snug fit over the mounting post, which may need a little sanding. Update: I noticed the channel for the filament in the bearing ring was a little tight and led to some slight squealing noise so I opened it up a bit with Version 2 of the bearing ring. Required for assembly: 1pcs 608 'skate' bearing Print Settings Printer: Neptune 2S Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 10% - 20% Filament: Any PLA Your Choice Notes: Supports touching build plate only. My initial test prints I used 10% infill and they held up fine. For my final print I used 20% infill to give it a little more strength. Post-Printing Making it all fit You might need to widen the screw support holes, I used a 5/16" drill bit and it opened them up just enough to squeeze in the supports. The Bearing mount also needed a little sanding to make it fit on but still be snug enough to not need any screws. Category: 3D Printer Accessories
