NeoTrellis Sound Board

Check out the project link for code, build photos, circuit diagram and more! https://learn.adafruit.com/neotrellis-soundboard/ This is a sound board using Adafruit's NeoTrellis that lets you trigger audio files so you can play it like a musical instrument. Each button can have different sounds so you can build your own sample kit. All of the electronics are housed in our 3D printed enclosure, with top and bottom covers that snap fit together for easy assembly. It's designed to be a portable, compact device and it's open source. In previous builds we used several boards to make similar projects. For this one we can use Adafruit's Feather and the Prop Maker Feather Wing. Check out the project guide for documentation. You can follow along step by step to wire the electronics and build the assembly. Code on GitHub: https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_Learning_System_Guides/tree/master/NeoTrellis_Soundbox The software is written in Adafruit's Circuit Python, making it easy to program the hardware. We set up the REPL to print file names and neopixel colors so you can verify button mapping or catch any errors. The Feather shows up as a USB drive so you can edit the code directly on the device. All files live on the drive, making it easy to change code on any computer. You can shake the device to shuffle audio. Pressing the button on the side will reset the arrangement. We think it's a fun demo of what you can do with the accelerometer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZw4cC1Hbns
