Neopixel Poi
thingiverse
https://youtu.be/gv5CO2QypEs This is an ongoing effort to create an incredible combination of ***Adafruit neopixels*** and ***poi !*** Powered by a rechargeable Lithium ion battery, the entire setup is controlled with an Adafruit trinket, allowing all 30 RGB LEDs to be individually adjusted for an extraordinary effect. This is a fantastic way to illuminate a summer night! The designs are not yet perfect but will continue to improve regularly. Poi is a form of performance art in which a performer spins two objects around themselves in intricate patterns. Poi are often set on fire, but for a safer and more vibrant option, LEDs were chosen instead! Aside from the 3D printed parts, this project relies on ***per poi***: Adafruit Trinket - Mini Microcontroller - 3.3V Logic Adafruit Pro Trinket LiIon/LiPoly Backpack Add-On 1/2 Adafruit NeoPixel Digital RGB LED Strip - White 60 LED 16mm Illuminated Pushbutton - White Momentary Breadboard-friendly SPDT Slide Switch Basic soldering tools and various wires are also used in this project. Sadly, there has not been enough time to assemble a second model and complete the set. Stay tuned for updates as they will be frequent. ***If this project reaches 100 likes, a detailed tutorial will be posted so that anyone can learn from my mistakes and perhaps light up their night!***
