NeoPixel Jewel
grabcad
Stand out at any event with the NeoPixel Jewel, featuring seven tiny 5050 (5mm x 5mm) smart RGB LEDs on a circular PCB designed for easy mounting. This elegant NeoPixel board can be chained together using just one microcontroller pin and requires no external choke resistors due to its built-in driver chip in each LED, ensuring consistent color output even with voltage fluctuations. Power it with 5VDC and enjoy chainable LEDs that connect effortlessly. However, note that the timing-specific protocol demands a real-time microcontroller like AVR, Arduino, PIC, or mbed and cannot be used with Linux-based microcomputers or interpreted controllers such as netduino or Basic Stamp. The Neopixel library for Arduino supports these pixels, but an 8MHz or faster processor is required. A single round board with seven individually addressable RGB LEDs comes assembled and tested.
