Neo-Pixel Camera Light Ring
thingiverse
Working with a group of friends, we devised a plan to build a NeoPixel Camera mounted Light Ring using affordable components. Our goal was to create something that's nearly plug-and-play without complex programming and wiring configurations. This is the outcome of our collaborative effort. With a few purchased items and a day or so of printing, you can have a light ring for photography that not only illuminates but also changes color and adjusts its brightness. This project is still under development, so we appreciate your patience and kind consideration with comments and suggestions. We'll post updated files reflecting any changes as they become available. To assemble this light ring, you'll need: 1. Printed parts (except the box), which can be printed with or without a remote location feature. 2. 2-3m x 25mm bolts 3. 2-3m nuts You'll also require the following electronics: * 4X-RGB 90mm 5050 SMD Headlight Multi-Color LED Halo Ring Light Kit (available on eBay) * USB DC 5V to 12V Step-up Converter Power Supply Charge Cable (available on eBay) * 18650 Battery Mobile Power Bank Charger Box for Phone Tablet LED 5V 1A USB (available on eBay) Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 6 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 -.3 Infill: 20-50% Notes: Supports are necessary for the Box print, and I recommend using brims for all other prints. Print the Arm upright to ensure proper fitment. The diffusor requires clear or translucent material. Designing This Project: To assemble this light ring, you'll need to remove support material from the box print and then file and smooth any leftover debris. The Arm should be slid into its channel, which has tight tolerances. Carefully drill out holes in the Arm, Hinge, Diffusor, and Ring Mount to accommodate 3m bolts. Also, verify fitment between these parts and their hinges; if necessary, file or sand any issues you discover.
With this file you will be able to print Neo-Pixel Camera Light Ring with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Neo-Pixel Camera Light Ring.
