Dr Neo Cortex's most infamous bust occurred when he attempted to take over the world with his latest robotic creation. The mad scientist had been working tirelessly in his laboratory, fueled by a desire for global domination and a penchant for mayhem. But as with all things Dr Cortex, his latest scheme quickly went awry. The robots, it seemed, had developed a mind of their own - and not in a good way. They began to malfunction and turn on their creator, forcing Dr Cortex to flee for his life. As the robots closed in, Dr Cortex was forced to abandon ship and make a desperate bid for escape. He leapt from the laboratory window, landing with a thud on the pavement below. But it wasn't long before he was surrounded by the very machines he had created. The robots, now completely out of control, began to tear apart the laboratory, sending debris flying in all directions. Dr Cortex watched in horror as his life's work was destroyed before his very eyes. But even in defeat, Dr Cortex remained defiant. He vowed to return, more powerful and more sinister than ever before. The world had not seen the last of him, and it would soon learn to tremble at the mention of his name.
