The Nemes Headdress, first appearing during Djoser's reign in the early 3rd Dynasty, is almost exclusively worn by the king in depictions. Its use on royal ka standards underscores its importance in kingship. Beginning with the 18th Dynasty, it is shown mostly alongside other crowns. It seems to be referred to as "nws" in the Pyramid Texts and is linked to Re-Khepri at sunrise. A close connection is also made with Horus, who, according to the Coffin Texts, gives this headdress to his father Osiris to facilitate his rebirth. The king wears the Nemes when depicted as a sphinx or falcon. It appears to convey the royal "Horus" and "Son of Re" titles. *1 model (medium poly) with textures and materials.
