<oembed url="https://youtu.be/6dH68abHHqw"></oembed>

This is a 48:1 split ring gearbox that prints in place. There is also a mating piece that allows the output to go to a shaft or NEMA23 fitting. Recommend printing in Nylon for functional print. PLA works fine for demo/light duty.

Print orientation per picture, no supports, .4 nozzle, .2 layer height. Part has frangible pieces that support the rotating outer shell on build plate, those will need to be pulled off to allow rotation of outer shell past mounting points. Typically these come off very easy. It also has a frangible piece connecting the input sun gear to the upper sun gear; this contributes to making the initial movement of the part a little tough, as the connection needs to be broken so the upper sun and input gear can rotate at different speeds. Recommend turning top sun gear on output side first, it usually takes some monkey strength to initially break part free and its best not to mar input shaft fitting. Once part is moving freely, a little bit of lubrication helps (PTFE lube works well). It should spin with light input after initial turn.

Caveat Formator: This GB requires a dialed in print as tolerances were designed to minimize backlash.
