NEMA17 stepper motor Z shaped bracket
thingiverse
I required a robust bracket to secure my NEMA17 stepper motor firmly in place, with its face pointing upwards and attached to the same surface it stood on. Since the mounting holes were situated at the top, an adapter bracket was necessary to connect it to the mounting surface. A Z-shaped bracket allowed the stepper to rest solidly on the surface it was being mounted to, so the bracket itself did not have to bear the weight of the motor; its sole responsibility was to hold it in place and prevent movement. The mounting screws should be countersunk, although the 4mm space for the screw head might not be sufficient for all screws. Additionally, the screw length needed to be precisely adjusted to ensure a snug fit - I simply ground mine down slightly on a bench grinder.
