While working on a few XYZ Da Vinci Jr 1.0 units, I encountered persistent feeding issues due to a weakening pneumatic fitting, which allowed the bowden tubing to come loose and lose all tension necessary for pushing filament through the hotend. To resolve this problem, I removed the feeder motor from each unit and replaced the motor-attached feeder parts with an aluminum extruder block purchased on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014SB12Q2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). In addition to this repair, I also replaced the hotend of each unit with a new one from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GD8LCFO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). However, it is unclear whether the pneumatic fitting from the stock bowden tube works seamlessly with the block mentioned above. Next, I needed to find a way to securely attach the motor back to the unit's frame. After searching Thingiverse without finding an adequate solution, I came up with this straightforward design. At some point in the future, I plan to develop a more practical hotend mount compatible with the XYZ Da Vinci Jr carriage. Until then, I will continue using an existing mount found online.
