I tweaked the mount middle bar so it stays perfectly centered regardless of motor or beam size. I also rounded out the circles by adding $fn = 64 to the OpenSCAD code. There's still room for improvement, like optimizing screw hole placement, but for now, it's good enough. Big thanks to ccox for the original design that inspired me to make these changes.
