NEMA17 Cable Support in OpenSCAD
thingiverse
I needed to find a way to support the cables coming from the X-axis motor and end-stop on my Prusa clone, so I tried out Eldrid's design as seen on the left. Unfortunately, I had to route the cables from the side rather than the top, which put the fixing screw in a very awkward spot where it was likely to interfere with other parts of the printer. I also required a stronger support because the cable and its mount stick out from the side of the printer and are vulnerable to bumps. To solve this problem, I took Eldrid's design and redesigned it using OpenSCAD. This allows anyone who needs to modify the design to access the code for the brave. Note: I created this part using black PLA - a material that isn't very helpful when it comes to taking clear photographs.
