Nema14 with 1.75mm filament - Kuehling-Wades Extruder
thingiverse
This text describes a customized NEMA 14 printer, featuring Greg's Wade Reloaded - Guidler, Tilt Screws, and Fishbone Gears. It is designed for 1.75mm filament, has a grovemount for Makergear hot end with a 50mm length, and uses 9/47 fishbone gears. The print test was performed at a 0.24 layer height using 1.75mm filament. Two long M4 screws with washers are required to secure the idler, and a 1" spring cut in half can help with ease of installation. However, the motor tends to run a bit hot, particularly above 60 printing speed where it skips steps. If re-rendering from source, the .stl file may require Netfabb fixes before skein and print.
