NEMA STEPPER MOTOR SILENCER
thingiverse
I decided to create my own dedicated bracket after seeing lots of people using them to silence their printers. To print, use highly flexible TPU or TPE materials. Mount the flat square side facing down on the motor. Use M3 parts with screws; you'll need four of them (flat). If needed, replace your screws with new ones that are at least +3 mm longer. I prefer to share my designs in OBJ or Step File format, making it easier for others to modify them. A lightened version has been added, utilizing material elasticity more efficiently. Printing with Ninjatek's Ninjaflex is a breeze. For the Z axis, I experimented with different configurations but found that https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2925230 didn't align properly with the Motor axis and T8 Z Rod. After some experimentation, I discovered that non-homogeneous scaling at 150% (2.4 mm thick) produces better results. This adjustment also allows for a wider elasticity range, resulting in less noise and even quieter operation.
