NEMA Stepper Motor Rotation Indicators

<p>I wanted some simple an modern-looking rotation indicators for the stepper motors on my Prusa i3 and MMU that were in keeping with the styling of the printer.</p> <p>There are 2 designs, one with an arrow to indicate a "forward" rotation direction (i.e. for the extruder dispensing filament) or the MMU filament feed motor (mirror the design as necessary).</p> <p>The indicators have been designed to be printed on a Prusa i3 with MMU, with one filament for the detail colour and one for the background boss.</p> <p>You'll need an 8mm diameter by 3mm thick magnet to superglue onto the rear boss of each indicator. I purchased a pack on Neodymium ones from <a href="https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07JHQNDZC">Amazon</a>.</p> <p>I've included the original Solidworks part files, and STEP models so these can be customised with other designs - I had thought a spiral effect would be good for the MMU filament feed motor. Let me know if you do one.</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>The models are designed for printing an a multi-material printer (i.e. Pusa i3 with MMU).</p> <p>Drag both the "_1.stl" and "_2.stl" files into PrusaSlicer to load and co-register them, then choose the filaments you want to use.</p> <p>I recommend a 0.2mm layer height, and no supports should be need.</p> <p>I've provided my ".3mf" file as an example setup.</p> <p><b>Printer:</b> Prusa i3 MK3 MMU2<br/> <b>Rafts:</b> No<br/> <b>Supports:</b> No<br/> <b>Resolution:</b> 0.2mm<br/> <b>Infill:</b> 15%-20%</p>
