NEMA 17 to NEMA w/ Planetary Gearhead - Thicker
thingiverse
I required flanges for several NEMA 17 Planetary Geared motors lacking the mounting plates for 'standard' NEMA 17 layout. I discovered Glacians22's part, but encountered two issues with it and one modification I wanted to make: 1) It was not thick enough to completely countersink the screws used to mount the adapter to the motor. 2) The hole for the stepper was too tight - I opened it up a little bit to account for the size of the plastic. (And still had to file it some) 3) For the modification, I wanted to add countersunk areas to put M3 nuts. In the pictures, the WHITE plate is my re-mix, and the BLACK plate is the original one (note that the screw heads are exposed) If you plan to use the version with the countersunk nuts, you will need 4 M3 nuts for each mount (either standard nuts or Nylock will work fine - it's your choice) Print Settings Printer: CTC Dual Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: 80% Notes: I printed mine in PETG with 4 shells and 80% infill. They're REALLY strong.
