NEMA 17 Stepper Motor Optical Breadboard Mount

thingiverse

This is a NEMA 17 stepper motor mount designed for use on an optical breadboard, ideal for experiments and prototyping purposes. The distance between mounting slots is carefully set at 2 inches to accommodate optical breadboards with 1 inch hole spacing. I have successfully created two mounts so far (July 29, 2016), one for each stepper motor, and they are well-balanced with decent tolerance on the mounting holes and slots. The mounting slots can accommodate possibly up to 1/4"-20 bolts and smaller. I have not tested with 1/4"-20 bolts but believe they should work. Future plans include releasing additional mounting options and hardware for setting up structures and equipment necessary for conducting experiments. Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge Creator Pro Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.18mm Infill: 15-20% Notes: Initially, I used Flashprint as my slicing software but have since switched to Simplify3D after resolving issues with my printer. I will post additional stats in the near future once the problems are fully resolved.
