NEMA 17 stepper motor cooler for 40mm fan (even for helloBEEprusa)
thingiverse
I create the cooler cap with Sketchup for my helloBEEprusa, because the stepper motors overheated when I printed at higher speeds. But it fits perfectly on any NEMA 17 Stepper, which is a standard size. The design prioritizes easy airflow and includes a built-in safety limit to prevent pushing the cap too far back onto the stepper. This ensures a secure fit without glue or screws. The design takes into account the FFF process and allows for a tight fit, eliminating the need for adhesives or fasteners. To minimize filament usage, I designed thin walls that enable flexibility in PETG, making it easy to attach the cap to the back of the stepper. To maintain airflow, the fan must be attached on the outside, as shown in the photographs. Otherwise, you risk disrupting the airflow and compromising the design's effectiveness.
