Nema 17 mount (with plane and pads for printing)
thingiverse
I was in desperate need to print something, despite having a major problem with poor adhesion caused by an extremely low heated bed temperature. To overcome this issue, I added a bottom plane with pads - these could be easily removed after the print. To remove the plane, simply cut along the outer perimeter of the mount body. Update: I've made some changes to the design in version 3. This time around, the mountbody is sunk into the plane with pads. This keeps all the original dimensions intact - especially the height. Here's how my experiment turned out: - The grip worked perfectly fine. - There was no warping at all on the lower edges. - However, I found that those parts need some kind of cooling system to prevent overheating. The upper edge tends to tilt towards the bottom surface, but it's not a major issue this time around!
