This is a prototype designed to multiply torque by nine times, combining the torque of two motors for a total end torque of around 80 kg. You'll need threaded rod 5/16, identical to that used in 3D printers, as well as matching nuts and washers. I utilized four custom washers (CW). To build this, print three large gears and five small gears. Use locknuts on the motor connectors and plumbers tape for the rest of the connections. The rod comes from Bunnings, while I obtained other components from Masters. Instructions: Okay, here's what you'll need: plumbers tape one length of 5/16 threaded rod approximately 30 nuts to fit (or reuse old ones) two locknuts (you could get more and replace some normal nuts if you want but it might be a pain) twelve 608zz bearings about four washers will do some long bolts for the NEMA 23 holes to hold the parts together I found not using the nut holes to join parts one, two, and three worked better than utilizing them - up to you (it holds itself together). Begin with big gears at both ends - on the engines and the bottom area where the old engine mount is no longer present (part three). You'll also need custom washers outside (more details later). Print the square part for our new piece to sit correctly, as well as a revised version of STL1 to allow for bearings. More instructions will come but that should at least get you started with the necessary items. The idea is straightforward: two motors have small gears driving one large gear; combined torque follows. Then, we go to another small gear increasing torque by three to another big gear setting up our reduction again to a final small gear giving us a total torque increase of approximately 80 kg when fully powered - assuming I made no mistakes and I did not actually check that with test. I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS YET AND I AM PLANNING TO DO SO IN A FEW MONTHS WHEN I RETURN FROM OVERSEAS - USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
