I needed a Gear motor to build my solar tracker, but it can be easily adapted for other applications. Check out the solar tracker link below for a video. https://www.notale.org/solar-tracker You can achieve at least 2Nm of torque, depending on your hardware setup. With a 36V power supply and a DRV8825 driver, I was able to reach 4-5Nm before encountering thermal issues and gear problems. Perhaps you will have more luck with this project since my old and budget-friendly 3D printer might be the limiting factor. As shown in the images, the NEMA motor can be mounted on either side of the frame, depending on your desired size.
