Since summer has arrived, I've been battling issues with my ABS printer. After a grueling four hours or so, my extruder succumbed to the heat and gave up. The stepper motor had become scorching hot, rendering it unable to push the 3mm ABS filament through the hotend. The temperature inside the housing of my old ABS printer soared to an astonishing 45 degrees Celsius. To rectify this issue with my extruder from an old K8200 printer, I decided to activate a cooling system. However, the airflow was directed in such a manner that it failed to cool the printed part effectively. This is where the 45x45mm Fan comes into play. It fits snugly onto the K8200 extruder, but its compatibility extends to many other NEMA 17 motors. This bracket was designed specifically for the K8200 extruder, yet its adaptability makes it a suitable fit for numerous other NEMA 17 motors. Printed in PET-G, this solution promises to bring much-needed relief from the sweltering summer heat.
