I designed a side-by-side dual extruder mount that fits on an Ender-5 or any printer with 2020 or 2040 frames and 42-40 extruder steppers. I based my design on VincentM's damper as a starting point, making adjustments as needed. First, I printed the mounting plate separately to test its stability. However, I soon realized that PLA is no match for aluminum in terms of sturdiness. To address this issue, I added a rear support clip that connects the back of both motors and greatly improves the overall rigidity of the assembly. The mount uses M4 bolts and t-nuts to secure it to the frame. This design is easy to assemble and use - simply enjoy!
