NEMA 17 Damper Shim
thingiverse
I bought NEMA17 dampers for my Ender 5. However, tightening the belt caused the motor to tilt due to the damper's flex. So I created this shim to solve that problem. It's unclear if it makes a difference, but I had some x-axis layer shifts before adding this shim and haven't experienced any since then. This print is extremely easy. I used PLA at 100% infill. It should take just a few minutes to complete. Simply slide the belts in and tighten them. Note that the dampers linked here have small nubs that need to be filed off. I used a Dremel for this, taking only a few seconds. These cost less than many other options.
