Because my step motors produce a lot of heat, I started looking for fan mounts to place over my motors. I found a lot of solutions but none of them fitted my Y axis motor. That’s why I created these designs. I remade this after seeing this design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1409754 . The Y axis mount in this design was 2 mm too small to fit my Y axis motor. Because of that I remade a simplified design in OpenSCAD so everybody can adjust this to his specific step motor. Since I decided to use some extra parts on my fan, I had to use a tie strap so the mount would stay on the motor. By making the body of the mount bigger you can probably solve this problem. Or you can leave out the extra parts. The mount for the X axis is always a square that fits at the back of the step motor. If you have questions or comments about my designs please leave a note below. I printed this with a prusa i3. Nuzzle diameter is 0,35mm in PLA. I sliced this with Slic3r with layer height 0,2mm, infill 30% honeycomb, brim 3mm and a average print speed of 50mm/s at a temperature of 190°. I used 3D tool to check every important parameter. https://www.3d-tool.com/en_free-viewer-download.htm
