NEMA 17 Base Support
pinshape
Summary This support component is tailored for NEMA 17 motors, designed specifically to address an issue I encountered with my Prusa i3 Rework build. Although it's parameterized, making it versatile and easily adaptable to other NEMA motors or dimensions. My Prusa i3 Rework machine features motors that are slightly shorter than standard ones, resulting in them being suspended from the frame. While this hasn't posed any problems so far, I've always been bothered by the fact they don't make contact with the ground. This support component is my solution to that issue. For optimal results, I recommend printing this component with a flexible or semi-flexible material, just as I did, to help dampen or absorb frame vibrations (if any). Print Settings Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Rafts: Not Required Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 15% Notes: Printing with a flex/semi-flex material is highly recommended.
